Web Standards Project (WaSP) site relaunch - now with added sting!
We've teased you for far too long, asked you to wait, to be patient. We've made promises you probably began to think we wouldn't ever keep. Well, here's our long awaited gift to you, the new WaSP redesign.
And the new daring design of the Web Standards Project is a thing of beauty. Once again a shining example of how it's possible to build standards-based, accessible sites without having to sacrifice aesthetics and design. Here's hoping that this revamped presence, together with the tireless efforts of all involved, will spread the message of web standards even further among the web design community.

Its a nice looking site, but I feel that the white text on a yellow background for the navigation provides poor contrast and reduces the accessibility of the site.
Well yes - it "looks" good, but doesn't stand up to screen resizing very well. At just below 1024 the left column drops below the content column. At 800, there is a white space to the right of the content column and the top nav is double height (but not the link dividers) because of the search box.
There are two consecutive links to www.webstandards.org at the top of the page. I wonder which algorithm was consulted to confirm the color contrasts of the h3 against the background.
I like the treatment of the full width skip bar, but did find it a bit disconcerting when my mouse wandered over it.
