This news just in, courtesy of the wonderfully educational Google Trends: people could not give a monkeys about usability or accessibility at Christmas time. We now have the proof, as this graph shows:

So says frank
significant increased web searching activity with people looking to buy last minute gifts and so on. If you look at the news reference volume graph you can see a similar shaped dip. So I would suggest that searching for usability or accessibility is more or less flat and the distortion in the graph is down to a huge increase in non usability or accessibility searching.

I am not sure that your conclusion is sound. I would suggest that during the holiday season there is significant increased web searching activity with people looking to buy last minute gifts and so on. If you look at the news reference volume graph you can see a similar shaped dip. So I would suggest that searching for usability or accessibility is more or less flat and the distortion in the graph is down to a huge increase in non usability or accessibility searching.
